Description (include details on usage, files and paper references) | A dataset of 11 encounters between two small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The "host" UAS carries two stereo HD video cameras, a custom FM-CW radar, a PixHawk navigational system, and an independent Piksi RTK GPS. The "target" UAS, in some encounters a quad-rotor and in others a fixed-wing, carries an identical Pixhawk navigational system + Piksi RTK GPS.
We hope this dataset will be useful for Sense-and-Avoid algorithm development and testing. More information can be found in the overview.txt files in the dataset, as well as the following publication: McClelland, H. G. et. al. "Small Aircraft Flight Encounters Database for UAS Sense and Avoid", AIAA SciTech 2017, Grapevine, TX, USA, pp 1--11.
